With David Beckham’s imminent arrival in the US to play for MLS side LA Galaxy, wife Victoria will be flying across the pond to his the shops of Los Angeles and the papers of America.
The popstar has recently been in the spotlight with the announcement that the Spice Girls are to reform for a tour later this year. Each girl is going to a different continent to help promote the gigs and, because of the location of her husband’s new employers, Posh has naturally opted for North America.
Their move to the sunny climes of the west coast is sure to be well documented with constant media coverage as well as a primetime hour-long documentary of the Beckhams’ transition into their new life in a $22million Beverly Hills mansion. Victoria Beckham: Coming to America will be broadcast on NBC on July 16. The documentary focuses heavily on Victoria and glimpses of her family and friends being kept minimal.
Victoria, who turned 33 last April, has already stated that she does not plan to launch into a solo music career or into the world of acting following the move. She has, of course, previous experience of both – her self titled solo album was a top ten hit in the UK and she appeared in the Spice Girls movie Spiceworld.
Instead, the singer is going to concentrate on own fashion business designing and selling jeans, sunglasses and perfume.
Victoria stated, “I am really concentrating on my fashion line. That’s my passion. I had a lot of fun doing the documentary but I wouldn’t say I’m going to be the next TV star.”
The former singer is also a proud mom of three sons – Brooklyn (8), Romeo (4) and Cruz (2) – and plans to devote a lot of her time looking after her family
